Dear Westvale families,

We would like to inform you about an important change we will be implementing in our drop off/pick up procedure at our elementary school. Our primary goal is to enhance the safety of our students during these busy times of the day. We are running a trial for the last two weeks of this school year starting Monday, May 20th.

The bus zone will be relocated to the top of the lane on the east side of the building. This change will allow for a more efficient and organized flow of traffic. There is an area marked as “bus zone” at the top of the drop off/pick up zone. We ask that you do not park in the bus zone. By doing this change, we are able to open the South side of the building to dropping off and picking up students. We ask that parents pull all the way forward with dropping off or picking up their students to keep traffic flowing, allow for a faster pick up and drop off, and increase safety. Please reference the attached map to see the bus and drop off/pick up locations.

We understand that this change may require some adjustment, but we strongly believe that it will greatly contribute to the safety and well-being of our students. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this new procedure. It is of utmost importance that the bus zone remains off-limits for any drop-off or pick-up activities. This will ensure that the bus area remains clear and safe for our students who rely on bus transportation. Plus, it allows more space for cars to drop off and pick up kids on the South side of the building.

By implementing this change during the last two weeks of school, we will have an opportunity to evaluate its effectiveness and make any necessary adjustments before the start of the next school year. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this new procedure, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We value your feedback and are committed to working together to create the safest environment possible for our students. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We appreciate your support in making our school a safe and secure place for all.
